As I work towards a supervisor role in welding, I’ve been reflecting on the importance of strong team dynamics… I’ve noticed that when everyone feels included in decision-making, productivity skyrockets. Would love to hear how others have fostered teamwork in their shops.
It drives me nuts when people feel left out. I started having short team huddles every morning — just 10 minutes to discuss goals and any roadblocks. It really helps everyone feel heard and part of the process.
But i totally get where you’re coming from. Last year, I started giving everyone a chance to weigh in on project timelines, and it made such a difference — like you said, productivity really does benefit when everyone feels involved. And seriously, even a quick chat over coffee can keep things flowing.
