I keep a one-page job pack on the dash of my rig — scope, WPS callouts, preheat temps, rod count, and a 30/60/90 timeline — that kept us on schedule at -15°F during a 2 a.m. pump tie-in running 6010 root/7018 cap off an SA-200. I’d add a peel-off ‘UT within 20 minutes’ sticker with cap time and a rod oven temp/open-can line, so QC can grab it for their packet. Do you track rod batch/heat on the page? If the sheet gets beat up at -15°F, laminate it and use a grease pencil.
What’s worked for me on cold night tie-ins: I print a small QR box on the pack that links to a timestamped cap photo and surface-temp shot plus rod heat/batch, so UT can verify without wrestling the paper; only caveat is sites that ban phones… @alexander_c56 think a QR placeholder would fit your blank?
Instead of another sticker, I keep the pack as a 2-part NCR with a tiny weld map and a couple ‘start/stop’ marks so UT knows where to hit without playing flashlight charades. @daniel_flores07 your QR idea is slick; NCR just makes the handoff instant if radios are noisy. Mind sharing the blank?
