At 6:30 a.m. line-up on Spread B, I scheduled a five-minute huddle with welders, fitters, QC, NDE, and safety; it became a 20-minute summit on who owns the last box of 1/8" 7018s and whether WPS 12C outranks Murphy’s Law. Anyone else had their critical path hijacked by a consumables custody battle while the crane op taps his watch?
Could we pre-stage two sealed ‘1/8 7018’ boxes per crew at 6:20? Tag ‘WPS 12C’ on them.
We started a 6:25 ‘rod roll call’ before the 6:30 lineup: foreman holds the rod oven key and signs out one sealed box of 1/8" 7018 per crew on a whiteboard with QC initials, so ‘WPS 12C’ isn’t a debate while the crane op is tapping his watch. It works, but , it bottlenecks if the foreman gets yanked to a lift — giving QC the backup key fixed that. @anthony_k92 see any downside to QC holding the spare?
